Home port

Harlingen isn’t called ‘capital of the Wadden’ for nothing. Located in the north of Friesland Harlingen is surrounded by the Dutch waters.

Harlingen is an authentic harbour city. Near the port there are old merchant-and wearhouses. Loads of fresh fish is shipped from the fishing docks throughout the whole of the Netherlands every day..

The innercity of Harlingen is cosy with small shops and cafés. Due to the ferries that leave for the islands the citycentre is vibrant with live in the summertime.

In other words, Harlingen breaths sea and salt.
