Many people are afraid that they will get sick on board. Often this fear is irrational.

 

Seasickness is due to a strong stimulations of the balance organ; when the body endures a certain movement for a long period of time. There are a lot of factors that reduce or even prevent seasickness;

 

 

Eat proper before you start sailing

 

Drink a lot of water, the whole day through

 

Stay midship, the most stabile place of the ship

 

Make sure you are distracted; talk to others or ask to steer the ship

 

Alcohol; a hangover is a sure thing to get seasick

 

Bring, just in case, some motionsickness pills with you
